Attached v7 fixing the else positioning as per Ted's review. Regarding the test
failures, I think its not related to this patch, they all pass on my local
machine. Also the logs suggest timeouts while loading meta regions, should we
fix them before proceeding further? I'm not fully sure what the exact reason is.
