Jonathan Hsieh commented on HBASE-11399:
----------------------------------------
Here's the rest of the review.
High level do we want to get rid of some colloquialisms?
"north of" ,"chicken-little comment"
page 5.
example 1.3/1.4/1.5 if you have hbase kick off zookeeer, you will see a
HQuorumPeer process. If you kicked off zk on your own, they would be
QuorumPeer. The hbase HQuorumPeer I believe is hard coded to kick off a single
zk node -- useful for testing but not for production workloads.
page 6.
bullet #4. Shouldn't the ports be 16xxx for trunk and 0.98(?) and 60xxx for
0.94? the docs say 6xxxx
page 6.
"use rsync". maybe we should be a little more general here? use scp, rsync or
you favorite mechanism for pushing files...
page 7.
section 2.1.2.5 mac os -> MacOS (or some other capitalization that is
consistent)
page 10.
section 2.2.3 Change to be "Typically, production HBase clusters are run in
...." so that we differentiate the "standalone is default".
> Improve Quickstart chapter and move Pseudo-distributed and distributed to it
