Do you think we should also deprecate HTable and HBaseAdmin (in HBASE-10602).
There was some discussions around that elsewhere. For 1.0 interface users,
HTable should not be used at all, but deprecating HTable will result in A LOT
of deprecated code everywhere suddenly.
