[~ndimiduk] yeah, I'll try to make patch for branch-1.1 (assuming that needed
changes are there). Though this is kind of spinoff from HBASE-13375, which only
went to 1.2 and master, and HBASE-10619 is also aimed to 1.2+, not exactly sure
how useful it would be.
