[~jmhsieh] I am unable to update rb with this new version of the patch. If you
need it uploaded, just say, and I'll make a new review. I tried to address all
your points (factoring in our offline chat where we did some reconcile on our
understandings of what is going on here). Thanks for the thorough review.
