If appropriate at this point, could someone review this as needed and then push
it through to the master branch? Then I can submit the mapreduce-oriented
archetype, and potentially the hbase-spark-oriented archetype. I see that the
1.3 discussions are moving ahead, so once I get all these into the master
branch, I'd be ready to backport all these to 1.3.
