So [~appy] you'd prefer we have something like the distinction in [git between
porcelain and
plumbing|https://git-scm.com/book/en/v2/Git-Internals-Plumbing-and-Porcelain]
in the shell? The idea there is that porcelain are user-facing things that
might change substantially between releases to improve the user experience. In
contrast, plumbing command are lower level and meant to be used when building
on top of things while scripting.
Do I have things essentially right?
