Ok, as long as there is a critical issue marked against the versions, and a 
commitment to fix it, I'll be happy.

I think so, having the draining functionality in a ruby script is not 
acceptable (for the long term). That is why I was asking for the plans around 
that. We do not have to address them now, but at least track those in a jira.
