It looks like you need to rebase the patch to latest trunk.
Also do you have any performance numbers as well as some guidelines about to 
size these threads pools?
We'll get the exact current behavior by setting the number of threads to 1, 
correct? Should that be the default instead, and folks would need to explicitly 
enable this? (or are you confident that we won't see any degradation in overall 
throughput and fairness?)
