Sean Busbey commented on HBASE-16179:

bq. Unless there is significant change in the implementation in which case we
need to all agree on the approach.

bq. Again, what's the plan for proceeding ?

bq. How many versions of Spark are we supporting ?

The scope of spark support was the subject of both a DISCUSS thread and a JIRA
to come up with a scope document. Please read the summary there about versions
supported. the doc is linked from the issue that's linked as related to this
one, since we don't have a different central place to keep these things right

bq. It is fine to mention both names at the time of commit.

bq. Please don't change the assignee without my consent.

I'm all for having multiple listed authors, presuming any patches are derived
from your work to date. But historically we use JIRA assignees to indicate
who's _currently_ working on a given solution. It's perfectly fine if you don't
have time for this right now [~tedyu], but please don't try to block us keeping
information up-to-date about who should be pinged about the current status of
implementing this change.

> hbase-spark module should not depend on such classes.
