This cleanup is great.
For older hadoop versions should there be a note? "If not in this list, not
supported" ?
lol .... "This feature was added in HBase 0.90.0." We were probably excited
about it too at the time.
I don't know what a 'network-IO-safe' is. Do you?
We should file an issue to update the compactions section: "By default, major
compactions are scheduled to run once in a 7-day period." Should talk about how
dumb our default is, that operators should run them themselves..., the tooling
available, etc.
