So, this issue got four amendments. The first one was because my patch broke
the script, the second was to add -e as suggested by [~busbey] and -x (with
some fixup so -e would work properly)... with the last amendment removing the
-x so just -e and its changes so we fail the build if this script doesn't run
properly -- as it should.
