Ben Manes commented on HBASE-17028:
-----------------------------------

If there is a desire to move it to a larger org, like Apache, that can be
discussed. It would most likely mean that I'd step away as others take
ownership. However as a library there is mostly maintenance with minor feature
requests, so itĀ could be overkill as not a lot of active development is
necessary. The project was started without a lot of thought into package names,
etc. that make it more professional sounding, as instead my desire was to write
code and solve hard CS problems. Happy to find ways that increase the bus
factor.

> New 2.0 blockcache (tinylfu) doesn't have inmemory partition, etc Update doc

> Intent is to make the parent tinylfu blockcache default on in 2.0 replacing
> our old lru blockcache. This issue is about making it clear in doc and code
> how the new blockcache differs from the old (You can put back the old lru
> blockcache with config change).
