[~apurtell] I'll put up a feature branch. Tho I'm not sure how it helps
reviewing the code changes? With regards to making the patch smaller. There are
things that are sort of broken in trunk but functional because meta is not
split (eg comparator changes). I could break those out and get those merged in
first? Beyond that I'm open to suggestions?
[~zhangduo] Let me take a look at the "master local region" any pointer would
be helpful. Although off-hand given your description it sounds to me like
requests for locating meta reigions will be served by the master? If so at
least in 1.x, I felt that having clients not accessing the master for data
access was an important feature. We'll run into a lot of trouble if clients
start hammering the master etc. I'd like to hear your thoughts as I'm not sure
how things are in 2.x now, but that would be a concern that I'd have if my
understanding is correct?
