Will take a look when I got some free time. Will be super busy in the up coming
several days... And hbase now uses github for reviewing, so please open a PR
against branch-2.3?
You could also try to ping [~ndimiduk], he is the release manager of
branch-2.3. HBASE-23834 is marked as 'Incompatible change', not sure if it is
suitable to backport to branch-2.3.
Anyway, thank you for taking care of this. Sorry for always letting
contributors be patient...
