mattcasters opened a new pull request, #8799:
URL: https://github.com/apache/hop/pull/8799

Tab and Shift+Tab indent or outdent the selected lines in a multi-line text
field. A caret with no selection changes the current line. The width is 2
spaces by default and can be set with `HOP_TEXT_TAB_SIZE`. The environment
variable overrides the value stored in the Hop configuration. This is useful
when writing JavaScript, JSON, XML, and similar files where indentation shows
the structure.

Single-line fields still use Tab to move to the next field. Loading a file
in the content editor is not an undo step, so undo stops at the loaded text.

   fixes #8653
