Canvas notes and `.md` files opened in the explorer get the same editing toolbar: link (URL or file), image, bold, italic, heading, code block, and table. Bold and italic use underscores and stay disabled until text is selected. File and image paths are stored relative to the pipeline, workflow, or Markdown file. The table dialog asks for columns, rows (including the header), and a GFM alignment. fixes #8833 - [ ] Run `mvn clean install apache-rat:check` to make sure basic checks pass.
