The Java 17 SDK installer currently accepts newer JDKs, although the selected Server reactor permits only JDK 17. Unsupported environments can therefore download source and fail later in Maven, and packaged provenance can accept an unsupported build JDK. Require JDK 17 before source checkout and require the generator's exact Java 17 declaration in the distribution manifest. New Toolchain builds, tests and applications use Java 17. The Go client's historical Server 1.7 compatibility fixture keeps its separate Java 11 process and is pinned to that release. Depends on apache/hugegraph-toolchain#783. This branch includes the pending core migration until that prerequisite is merged; the focused follow-up is the SDK installer, manifest verifier and tests, JVM documentation, and historical Go fixture pin. The locked candidate SDK source and dependency set remain unchanged. Validation: installer regression tests, manifest validation tests, Loader launcher tests, shell syntax and workflow checks pass. Existing real SDK provenance was validated, and real JDK 11 and 21 were rejected before checkout.
