## Before ➡️ After **Before:** PD reads storage-quota configuration only from the hard-coded hg namespace, missing limits published by Servers using another cluster name. **After:** Select the namespace through pd.server-cluster, retaining hg as the compatibility default. Document matching it to Server cluster on every PD node; the numeric PD cluster ID is unrelated. ## Why Enforce the quota from the same metadata namespace that Server writes, without moving existing metadata or silently changing deployment defaults. ## Validation boundary The source author reports compilation and isolated quota tests, including non-default namespace enforcement. Deployed request routing and cross-process schema/cache synchronization are not established or fixed by this change. Deployments using Server's hg-test default must explicitly align the PD setting.
