IMO, the best would be to: set `noReplay` only for dv removals whose data file stays live. - The merge-on-read partial-delete merge stays non-replayable. - Copy-on-write drops and rewrites get their retry back. Caveat: merge-on-read whole-file drops also remove a dv together with its data file but register no `rewriteValidator`. Give them the same validator before they become replayable, or a concurrent dv on a dropped file is left orphaned on replay. -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
