Ryan Moquin commented on KARAF-2340:
------------------------------------
Just wanted to mention that I had forgotten to add the synchronous=true for
blueprint when I ran Karaf 2.3.1. I'm not sure if that made a difference, but
just to cover my bases. I tried again this morning just adding the cellar url,
I installed the Karaf Webconsole, installed Cellar and then installed the
cellar-webconsole. All of those installed quickly as I would expect. If I
look at the log, there isn't any activity with INFO level other than what I
would normally expect to see with Cellar starting up. My CPU though is at a
constant 20% usage and there is a lot of garbage being created. There doesn't
appear to be a memory leak, just a lot of garbage. I'm attaching a jvisualvm
profile snapshot I took after letting it collect results for a few minutes and
you'll see that hazelcast is generating a lot of activity. I'm pretty sure all
the views are part of the generated profile (decided to be smart this time and
create the profile instead of a screenshot)
Is this something that is normal with Cellar? Does something need tuned? Is
this an issue with Hazelcast? Or is there something in Cellar that's being a
little too aggressive regarding looking for cluster members and the such?

> I've been working on a demo for several weeks to promote Karaf and Cellar.
> Even thought Karaf 3.0.0 seems to work great, the addition of Cellar just
> isn't ready yet. When I tried Karaf 2.3.2-SNASHOT with Cellar 2.3.0, my CPU
> went to 25% and hazelcase 5 seemed to be going a bit crazy. So I moved to
> Karaf 2.3.1 and Celler 2.3.0. I was able to install cellar but when I
> finally typed the correct comment to install the admin, my cpu utilization
> went to 25% and the features:install command never returned.
> Attached are some screenshots of sampling from jvisualvm (the profiler seems
> to through karaf into fits). I'm a little lost on how to get Karad and
> Cellar running correctly together.
