I rushed and put the one link in the one issue that should have been here, so
let's ignore eventadmin, I haven't seen that with synchronous=true. As I
mentioned in the other jira, which I would attribute to the same thing, the
synchronous not being true, I had found the following link:

I tried the suggestion regarding fixing the "famous epoll bug" and now my cpu
usage when I install cellar appears to sit at 0.3%, so I'm thinking that should
be added to karaf, I don't know if there are any downsides, but it certainly
seems to fix the 20% issue I has having. Memory usage seems to be being
handled much better as well, it's spiking up and down much more frequently and
consistently, not jumping wildly all over. I'm attaching the files I changed
in Karaf 2.3.1 with the necessary changes to add that property and which seem
to have made a huge difference.
