--------------------------------

Hi [~adar],

I am not sure about the kudu-upstream-infra, but recently we have finished
integrating ARM resource to Spark which's CI also use Jenkins hosted in
Berkeley, see [here|[https://amplab.cs.berkeley.edu/jenkins/label/spark-arm/]].
And we have also integrated ARM resources to Apache infra [used by
Hadoop|[https://builds.apache.org/view/H-L/view/Hadoop/job/Hadoop-qbt-linux-ARM-trunk/]].
It looks like we mainly need to configure a Jenkins agent, not too much things
to do, but I am not sure about Clouder's Jenkins as we use the dist-test frame
work :)

Thanks for your suggestion, I will also start to try in OpenLab CI. Because
here ares still some issues in building process on ARM (maybe more issues in
tests), so may I need take a while to do some early attempts. If we finally
decide use OpenLab CI, it will be great to notice the testing failures to
[[email protected].|mailto:[email protected].] Once I get any progress, I
will describe here.

Thanks again for your kindly help.

> As an import alternative of x86 architecture, Aarch64(ARM) architecture  is
> currently the dominate architecture in small devices like phone, IOT devices,
> security cameras, drones etc. And also, there are more and more hadware or
> cloud vendor start to provide ARM resources, such as AWS, Huawei, Packet,
> Ampere. etc. Usually, the ARM servers are low cost and more cheap than x86
> servers, and now more and more ARM servers have comparative performance with
> x86 servers, and even more efficient in some areas.
> We want to propose to add an Aarch64 CI for KUDU to promote the support for
> KUDU on Aarch64 platforms. We are willing to provide machines to the current
> CI system and manpower to mananging the CI and fxing problems that occours.
