Perhaps another approach is to add an abstract asyncRequest method to LBSolrClient (which both `LBHttpSolrClient` and `LBHttp2SolrClient` extend) and just call that instead - and throw an `UnsupportedOperationException` in the case of the HTTP/1 client for now.
