Ishan Chattopadhyaya commented on SOLR-14760: --------------------------------------------- Anshum and I discussed on Slack about my last comment. I think Anshum misunderstood my proposal, so I worded it differently: we leave the users continue to use the existing list, without any change even after TLP. Anshum suggested that due to ASF policies, we might not be able to piggyback on another TLP. I suggested that we seek an exception from the board on this particular matter, because this would save users immense inconvenience. The inconvenience: those users who use the list infrequently and created a filter and forgot about it would now see new messages bypass the filter and go straight to inbox, causing annoyance. > Order new Solr mailing lists > ---------------------------- > > Key: SOLR-14760 > URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/SOLR-14760 > Project: Solr > Issue Type: Sub-task > Reporter: Jan Høydahl > Assignee: Anshum Gupta > Priority: Major > > 1.
