Normally I wouldn't care and I'd just do whatever workaround was necessary.
Unfortunately, in my case, the workaround is "add several overrides in each and
every child module in all projects". This currently amounts to over 400 child
modules so, as you can imagine, I'm not up for applying that particular
workaround.
