Well, the java compiler is kind of weird in this case. It doesn't look at the
source-folder structure to generate the class files, it only looks at the
package-value inside the source file. So have a look at this:
{code:title=a/b/c/d/e/SomeClass.java}
package f.g.h
public class SomeClass {}
{code}
This will result in {{f.g.h.SomeClass.class}} in the outputDirectory
bq. The jars are now getting created inside `Java\target` folder next to the
`src` folder.
This is default behavior by Maven, have the input (src) and output (target)
next to each other.
Be aware that to override this default, you need to do this:
{code:xml}
<project>
<properties>
<targetDirectory>target</targetDirectory>
</properties>
<build>
<directory>${targetDirectory}</directory>
</build>
...
</project>
{code}
This means: override the build directory with the value of the property
targetDirectory.
If you don't specify it from commandline / -D , use target (from the
project.properties)
Again, reconsider using the defaults unless you have VERY good reasons not to
do so :)
