Backport of #13367; see there for the rationale and the precedence change for platform-module packages. The test file gains the `assertTrue` import that master already has. Verified: the new `DefaultClassRealmManagerTest` case fails on maven-4.0.x without the change and passes with it; `maven-core` tests pass on JDK 21.
