I would love to kick this off again - it is a poor experience as a reviewer and
as a contributor to miss existing (and great) abstractions because a
random-walk of the source base isn't a great way to pick the right
abstraction/tools and very few has a full picture of all of them (and they may
end up being duplicated!).
I would root for starting an effort to make turn all comments on public classes
and methods to one of the doxygen styles (it's is a matter of taste, don't have
a preference but we can start a poll to get a general idea).
