I'm looking into the processor one to see what it appears to need/use/reference and will comment more in a sec. But yeah your finding about grpc api and it then needing the others is pretty wild. My preference is that we let the processor/service-api poms be clean/real to what they actually need/want and then the nar poms do the exclusion/inclusions as necessary.
