I'm not familiar with all of the options, but [according to the
documentation|https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/entra/identity/hybrid/connect/how-to-connect-fed-group-claims]
it looks like there are some options for configuring the values returned in
the groups claim.
I would look for additional interest in this feature before proceeding to a PR,
given the maintenance involved.
