Daniel Stieglitz commented on NIFI-14205:
-----------------------------------------

[~Chris S] Can you please detail what you envision as there seems to be
somewhat of an alphabetical order when listing the countries. I agree it is
awkward as the first values on the list are:
{code:java}
AWS European Sovereign Cloud (Germany)
AWS GovCloud (US-East)
AWS GovCloud (US-West){code}
and the last ones are
{code:java}
aws global region
aws-cn global region
aws-iso global region
aws-iso-b global region
aws-iso-e global region
aws-iso-f global region
aws-us-gov global region
Use Custom Region{code}
with the countries in alphabetical order sandwiched in the middle.

> AWS Regions are listed in a confusing order

>          Issue Type: Bug

>
> The `AWS Region` drop-downs in the UI show the values in a seemingly random
> order (i.e. not alphabetical, nor even grouped).
> It would seem sensible to change the values in the list to be sorted by
> (display) name, making it easier for users to navigate through the list.
> Affects multiple (all?) AWS based components, e.g. GetSQS, ListS3, AWS
> Credentials Provider.
