I am not a JS expert, but I think a potential solution would be to intercept
the call that kills the active editor, copy the current state of that dialog
into a temporary cache in local storage, and then when the responsive stuff is
resized and a new editor is about to be opened, repopulate the content in
there.
As it exists now, resizing a window with an editor open and changes to the
content causes data loss, which is not acceptable.
