[~snagafritz] this sounds like a good idea in spirit. I'd recommend only to
bother with the latest kafka client implementation rather than going back to
some of the older ones in there.
What are some of the properties in particular you wanted to be able to set via
EL statements?
I ask because not all properties are conducive to change within the JVM
lifetime.
