Agreed @mcgilman -- if there are active threads, it would be nice to display messaging to the user (within the current dialog, new dialog, ...?) explaining that fact, along with some type of timer or indicator to let user know the application is watching/waiting to allow it to end gracefully, at which point it will open the configurable settings. Then, as mentioned, provide the option to force the termination immediately (as it may be the only viable option). Also thinking it'd be nice if the user chooses to wait it out, to close that dialog and allow them to continue to work in the app. After a certain amount of time, reopen the dialog to remind them we're still waiting and again provide the terminate option. Thanks for your work on this @aeaversa . I will plan on testing this out later and provide more detailed feedback.
