--- Comment #8 from [email protected] --- Created attachment 80205 --> https://issues.apache.org/ooo/attachment.cgi?id=80205&action=edit Screenshot showing the anomaly This is as viewed in Windows XP. Note the two lines under the heading Zanzibar SF. The arrows in the first are produced by the - > combination. The arrows in the second were produced by adding the arrow as a special character with the text in Times New Roman font, and the the whole line changed to Zanzibar SF font. The anomaly does not appear in version 2 or version 3.4.1 in Linux. However, the fonts are substituted when the font is not available, and the substituted fonts possess the right-pointing arrow. If the document is saved as a Microsoft Office 97-2003 format, it displays in Microsoft Word Viewer with the underlining correct but with the arrows replaced by squares when in the context of a font which does not possess the right-pointing arrow. When the .doc file is reloaded by swriter, the anomaly reappears. In short, the anomaly appears when the following conditions are true: 1: The right-pointing arrow does not exist in the named font 2: The right-pointing arrow is produced by the - > combination 3: The host operating system is Windows XP I should add that the anomaly also appears in a printed version. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
