Opening a .odt file (from within OOwriter) also opens an instance of
winword.exe. (Even though OOwriter is the default application for .odt files.)
(Each "file open" act opens another instance of winword.exe.)
After closing OOwriter program, error messages from winword (cannot close
file...) remain on the desktop.
MS Office never shows up on the taskbar as an open program, but it is listed
by task manager in processes. I have had up to 18 instances of winword,exe open
as shown in taskmanager as running processes, all using memory, etc.
I have had to close up to 20 error messages from Word when closing OOwriter;
apparently, each "file open" command also opens an additional instance of
winword.exe, and closing OOwriter triggers winword also to try to close that
same file, which it cannot do, so it reports error.
