Also, something I've noticed since I made this initial report is that the problem only occurs with tables, like the document originally attached. Whenever I try to convert it, I save it as a Windows 97-2000 file, then re-open it and resave it as a .docx file. I noticed the missing text immediately, as it deleted all but around 1/4th of the document when I used this process. It seems to work fine for documents when they aren't in a table, though.
