Bug ID: 122974
Issue Type: DEFECT
Summary: html document not opening in writer/web in new 4.0 ver
Product: Writer
Version: 4.0.0
Hardware: PC
OS: Windows 7
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: critical
Priority: P3
Component: open-import
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
CC: [email protected]
I just updated to 4.0 version and I am unable to attach the writer/web program
to be used to open an html document.
I right clicked on the doc.html file, clicked on "open with" and tried to use
writer.
But writer would not show the source html and in the top of the page did not
show the "writer/web" name.
I then clicked on the browse button, went to the program files/ open office/
program directory and selected sweb.exe
But it would not show up in the open with box, only writer would show up.
To open the file I finally resorted to creating a new html file and that was
the only way I could get the writer/web program to open.
Then I had to open the doc.html file and I could finally work on it.
I believe that it would be very beneficial and helpful if there was a way to
open the writer/web program from the writer program.
I use the web program because I need to see the document and be able to view
the html source.
Please fix it where the web program can be loaded from the open office menu or
from the writer program. I have had to manually put a short cut to the web
program on my desktop so I can easily get into it.
Thank you,
Jim Ellis
