Then I have to click on the "open" icon. Then select the file. These are a lot of extra steps that were NOT needed prior to updating to open office version 4. The issue is NOT resolved, there is not a way to directly open the file without going through a lot of extra steps. If you directly open the file (file association) it will ONLY go to writer and you can not use the writer/web features.
