E.g. in C10 the content is '13.08.13 - important here is character ' Change the format of column 'Date' to (e.g.) YYYY-MM-DD. You will see that no change will occur in rows 10..14 as these cells contain text indicated by character ' Thus, I think the sorting function is working correct here.
