--- Comment #5 from [email protected] --- >From my developer view it would be very important to be fixed. I am working mainly with the ODT format to generate documentation on the fly. In our online financial tool the customer has the option to generate different report formats. Those formats are ODT, PDF and Word. Our process works that way that our Web service application creates an odt file on the server which will get picked up by an other stand alone application running on the server. This stand alone application uses the com interface to OpenOffice to start it, open the odt document from the temp folder, automatically updates the table of content of the document and saves it in the pdf and word format. We are using many different logos/images from the customer on different colorful backgrounds (Customer logo with transparent background in all diagrams). They are used from different accountants for their customer so they expect the customer graphs to be incorporated into the design with transparent background. So with this background, the work around can not be an option for me and other developer, using the odt format combined with open office. I wrote this just to give you an insight on why this defect is important for me and some other users too. So we offer for the user primary an odt document and as second option a word or pdf document. So we are kind of advertising OpenOffice to our customer so you will directly benefit too ;-) I can imagine that more and more developer will choose this way to use odt/openoffice to generate high quality reports instead of word in their application. (I guess we are all not big fans of the Microsoft monopol...). Therefore from our point of view this would be important. Just one thought. Cheers ;-) -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug. You are the assignee for the bug. You are watching all bug changes.
