Some here keep suggesting to change from .ods files to .xls files, but they're misunderstanding the problem. It's nothing to do with .ods files. When submitting an OOo .xls file to Simply Accounting (or AccPac), the application refuses to import the .xls file saying that it's not a genuine Microsoft .xls file.
