Effect is more or less reproducible with "AOO 4.0.1 Release – German UI /
German locale [AOO401m5(Build:9714)  -  Rev. 1524958 2013-09-20 11:40:29]" on
German WIN7 Home Premium (64bit)", “historic” 4.0 User Profile used for all
predecessor versions: Does not work at all.    

(a) But:
I don't think that AOO somewhere promises 100% VBA / Visual Basic compatibility
... 
Currently I even don't know what scripting language is used in that document

(b) Version has been modified erroneous, so back to most early version

Currently I see this one as Not An Issue. Please feel free to reopen if you can
contribute information that a function of AOO does not work or if you can
contribute a detailed, complete feature request how to improve support for
"exotic" Scripting Languages
