I found an inconsistency with the date format, which is apparently parsed sensitive to language, e.g. "TT.MM.JJ" will work in the de_DE.xml, but "DD.MM.JJ" does not work in the nds_DE.xml file. Note the use of "JJ" instead of "YY". So I changed it to "DD.MM.YY" in the nds_DE.xml for all occurrences.
