--- Comment #3 from Regina Henschel <[email protected]> ---
-1 for changing the label, reasoning see below.

The following description is for setting 'User interface' to 'English (USA)'
and 'Locale setting' to 'Danish' in Tools > Options > Language Settings >
Language.

I think, the problem is, that users do not know the difference between the
items
   Default - Danish
and
   Danish
in field 'Language' in tab 'Numbers' in the cell style dialog.

The item "Default - Danish" means the same as the term "Automatic" in the help.
Look at the help topic "Numbers / Format" section "Language". There you find
<quote>
Specifies the language setting for the selected cells . With the language set
to Automatic, OpenOffice automatically applies the number formats associated
with the system default language. Select any language to fix the settings for
the selected cells .
</quote>

Changing the label to "Locale" would be wrong, because the field is for
explicit setting a language.

My suggestion is: Change the item
   Default - nnn
where nnn is the current locale to
   Automatic
as it is used in the help.
