Issue ID: 124813
Issue Type: DEFECT
Summary: Average errors
Product: Calc
Version: 4.0.0
Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: major
Priority: P3
Component: programming
Assignee: [email protected]

I have a spreadsheet with short columns of one digit numbers. I attempted to
produce averages of each column using the function wizard. A formula that
resulted is, for example, =AVERAGF18E(G7:G17). It produced a number. However,
that average is ignoring the cells G8 and G11. No matter what number I input
into G11 or G8, the average is unaffected. When I click on the Average box,
which is G18, the entire column from G7-G17 is highlighted. Therefore, I do not
understand why an accurate average is not produced.
The same spreadsheet was previously used in Excel for the same purpose of
producing averages, but has since been converted to an .ods file. The numbers
are new and there have been no other issues.
