Issue ID: 124817
Issue Type: DEFECT
Summary: Does not recognize the
mysql-connector-x.x.x-java-bin.jar file
Product: Base
Version: 4.1.0
Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: P3
Component: code
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
The mysql-connector-x.x.x-java-bin.jar file is not being recognized. Using
Tools > Options > OpenOffice > Java > Add, and navigating to the folder where
the file exists, it does not recognize that it is there and, thus, will not
allow for a JDBC connection to occur (since it is requesting the javaruntime
environment -- which it doesn't recognize).
Unable to find literature in this regard.
The closest thing was "The mysql-connector-x.x.x-java-bin.jar file should then
appear in the list of Assigned folders and Archives. Click on OK to close the
dialog." But, when it doesn't (though it's there), what should be done?
The file was downloaded from <http://dev.mysql.com/downloads/connector/j/>.
Only one option for download is available.
