--- Comment #1 from Oliver-Rainer Wittmann <[email protected]> --- Until now, I am not able to reproduce the defect. In AOO 4.1.0 on my Windows 7 system I tried the following steps: Scenario A: - Open the attached document - it is an file in Microsoft Excel binary file format. - Type some text into an arbitrary cell - Menu File - Save As --> Save As dialog suggested file name "Blank.xls" and file type "Microsoft Excel 97/2000/XP" - Choose file type "ODF spreadsheet" --> suggested file name changed to "Blank.ods" - hit Save button --> document saved under file name "Blank.ods" in ODF file format. As already mentioned the defect was not observed with the given sample document Scenario B: - Using Microsoft Excel 2003 to create a sample spreadsheet document in Microsoft Excel binary file format - file name "testsheet-2003.xls" - Open the newly created file in AOO - Type some text into an arbitrary cell - Menu File - Save As --> Save As dialog suggested file name "testsheet-2003.xls" and file type "Microsoft Excel 97/2000/XP" - Choose file type "ODF spreadsheet" --> suggested file name changed to "testsheet-2003.ods" - hit Save button --> document saved under file name "testsheet-2003.ods" in ODF file format. @John Schroeder: - Could you provide a sample document and/or the steps to reproduce the described defect? - What do you mean by "Changed to an ODS extension..."? Did you changed the file type or did you only change the file name? -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the issue. You are watching all issue changes.
