Misha Manocha <[email protected]> changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- CC| |[email protected] --- Comment #5 from Misha Manocha <[email protected]> --- I was able successfully replicated the bug in Apache OpenOffice 4.1.1. on Mac OS X version 10.9.5. The following steps were taken for replication – 1. Open a new document in Apache OpenOffice Writer. 2. Create a table with a desired number of columns and rows. 3. Type some text in one of the cells and select it. 4. Now, as you can see in the screenshot attached, as the cursor is moved away from the selection, the cursor is still in ‘Edit Text mode’. 5. Now, in the screenshot(Table cell selection) attached, it can be seen that that whole cell is not selected. I did some follow up test, by clicking control+A, to select the cell, and I figured that it selects the whole table, instead of a specific cell. Moreover if you select a cell, it just selects the text. If you try to copy and then paste, instead of pasting the cell, it just pastes the text. While, if you try to do the same in MS Office, you’ll able to select the cell and then paste the whole cell. This failure is not a bug; I would rather call it an enhancement. I believe that if this feature is added, it would be helpful for user and make their experience of working with tables a little easy. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the issue.
